What we build for freight teams

Automated ops reporting and finance-grade analytics from the systems you already run.

See pilot options ↗

We sit between operations and data engineering — turning scattered TMS, accounting, and ops data into report packs and dashboards that tell a clear story: what's on track, what's breaking, and where margin is at risk. Delivered in Power BI, Domo, QuickSight, Tableau, or Excel.

Sound familiar?

Scattered data

Operations in one system. Finance in another. Leadership still pieces the story together by hand.

Manual reporting

Hours every week on copy/paste — numbers stale before leadership sees them.

BI that didn't stick

Pretty charts, no tie-out, nobody trusts the dashboard.

Capabilities

What we deliver

Transportation-first today — hospitality and other verticals as we grow. Every engagement starts from how your operation actually runs.

  • Operational dashboardsLate shipments, milestone tracking, unbilled costs, SLA exceptions, and daily ops packs for leadership.
  • Reporting automationScheduled TMS and accounting exports → modeled metrics → report packs and dashboards in your BI tool.
  • Business narrative & KPIsCustomer concentration, lane trends, vendor performance — the story behind the numbers.
  • Margin & profitabilityShipment, customer, and lane P&L with finance tie-out — Margin Map pilot.
  • BI platform approachPower BI, Domo, QuickSight, Tableau, or Excel — no forced migration.
  • Validation & tie-outParallel runs until ops and finance agree the numbers are right.
  • Data Bridge & managed analyticsSQL, Python, Snowflake when exports aren't enough; fractional refresh and QBR support.

Fixed-scope pilots

Start with ops, finance, or both

Defined scope, 4–6 weeks, delivered in your BI platform. Discovery ($500–$2K) is often credited toward the pilot.

Operational reporting pilot

For ops and customer service leaders who need daily visibility — not another spreadsheet.

  • Late shipments and milestone exceptions
  • Unbilled costs and at-risk file alerts
  • Customer or lane volume and SLA tracking
  • Automated refresh from TMS exports

Margin Map pilot

For leadership and finance — who is profitable, which lanes lose money, what to grow or exit.

  • Lane & customer margin by shipment
  • Vendor cost tie-out to QuickBooks
  • Exception lists: unbilled, late, at-risk
  • Finance-grade validation before handoff

Our process

Export-first. Prove it. Then scale.

  1. 01Discovery

Workflow, data inventory, three pilot questions.

  2. 02Field mapping

Source column → model → dashboard.

  3. 03Pilot

Fixed scope, 4–6 weeks, your BI platform.

  4. 04Validation

Side-by-side tie-out with ops and finance.

  5. 05Retainer

Ongoing refresh, monitoring, and support — keep reports trusted.

Most BI consultants don't know a TEU from a house bill. Most ops teams stop at manual report packs. DTM sits in the middle.

Common questions

QuickBooks, TMS exports & data access

We don't replace your accounting or TMS. We read from what you already run and build the reporting layer on top.

Do you integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. We don't replace QuickBooks — we pull from it read-only. For QuickBooks Online, we can use scheduled report exports or a direct connector into Power BI (and similar tools). For QuickBooks Desktop, we usually start with the Excel/CSV reports your bookkeeper already runs. The first project is proving your numbers tie out — not rebuilding your books.

What QuickBooks data do you actually need?

Typically a subset: customer invoices and revenue, vendor bills and expenses, customer/vendor lists, and sometimes GL detail or P&L by account. For margin work we join those amounts to shipments in your TMS or Excel using invoice numbers, customer IDs, or file references — that's the part that needs ops context, not just an accounting export.

Do you need API or write access to our TMS?

No write access, ever. We start with whatever you already have — scheduled TMS exports, accounting exports, or read-only TMS APIs if your platform exposes them (GoFreight, Logitude, Magaya Cloud, and similar). API pulls mean less manual export work and cleaner refresh; we scope read-only credentials in discovery. Warehouse pipelines (Data Bridge) are the scale-up when you need history or multi-source models.

How do you validate the numbers?

We run parallel tie-out: your dashboard vs. the spreadsheet or QuickBooks report finance already trusts. We don't call a pilot done until ops and finance agree the logic is right. Documented field mapping and variance rules are part of delivery.

Which BI tools do you work in?

Power BI, Domo, QuickSight, Tableau, or Excel — whatever you're on or willing to use. We don't force a platform migration. You own the deliverables; we document refresh steps so your team can run them.

Can you automate refreshes later?

Yes — and you should plan for it. Many clients start with scheduled exports; modern TMS read APIs and accounting connectors reduce manual work. Ongoing retainer support covers refresh, pipeline monitoring, and minor metric updates so dashboards stay trusted. Warehouse scale-up (Snowflake, SQL Server) is for history and multi-office needs.
